Impressive
Bought this so that i could put it in the back of my truck and get gas for my boat on the water. Comes fully assembled and functioning out of the box. Once filled, very easy to hook up to the batteries and fill the boat. Great product. For those that are confused like i was, the diesel one is cheaper but not rated for gas. The gas rated one is more expensive but the fittings are designed to work with the explosiveness of gasoline. That is the extra money. Would highly recommend this product if you are considering.

Not happing at all.
Filled the 40 gal tank with 20 gallon of gas. Hooked the power source up to 12volts. Hit the switch and the pump came on. It primed and started leaking gas from the outlet hose by the tank and also by the nozzle. Turned it off and tightened the clamps. Turned back on and nothing happened. Checked my power source. 12.87 Dc volts. Checked the inlet fuse with volt meter 12.87. Turned switch on nothing happens. Very sad and disappointing as I would use this tank to fill my side by side. Guess I will siphon gas from tank the old way with a hose. Hopefully someone will call me to discuss.

Holds Plenty of Gas, Usually Pumps it
With a 93 year old Father in Law that loves to help out and nearly 5 acres to mow, some facility for self-service of fueling the mower was in order. He's healthy enough but filling the mower's 8-gallon tank from 5-gallon jerry cans just wasn't practical for him. We'd previously mowed with a small tractor (for which we have a 225-gallon tank with pump for diesel), but a good portion of the mowable area is a bit bumpy and dad would feel beat up at the end of the session. The zero-turn's superior suspension and wider stance solved that. This tank allows me to obtain a considerable amount of gasoline in one trip and lets dad pump it into the mower with ease. So far, it's (mostly) worked great ... but there are some things to consider before purchasing it. There are slots in the base for forks. While the plastic from which the tank is made seems sturdy enough, there are warnings in the documentation about the regular use of forks for handling the tank. We've decided to use nylon webbing straps hooked to the bucket on our tractor to move it on and off the pickup truck. Far less wear-and-tear, and a bit more convenient than installing the forks every time we need to refill the tank. The nozzle has been problematic. We've had a situation where it refused to dispense; it seems there was something blocking the venturi mechanism that disengages the nozzle's trigger handle when the gas tank you're filling is full. We eventually got it working again ourselves, but while troubleshooting we contacted the vendor and getting resolution from them appears to be a pain in the butt. AM-TANK wanted video proof of the issue and apparently only supports WhatsApp for communication, which I don't have nor care to obtain. I uploaded the video to YouTube and was eventually able to provide a link by embedding it in a PDF and uploading it through Amazon's vendor communication feature (which strips out web site addresses included in the message text). While creating the video, though, the nozzle eventually started working again and so far, has functioned properly. Another concern is the included ground strap (strongly recommend for use when filling the tank to prevent static discharge). It's just a simple, vinyl-insulated 16ga braided wire with no additional mechanical support. Regular use will have it snapping off in no time. I'd recommend its replacement with a better quality, more flexible wire designed for frequent coiling-uncoiling. Finally, the switch that controls the pump does not have solidly positive detent positions. We've found the switch in the "on" position after simply moving the tank, and just a small nudge will have it click to the on position when off. We've taken the added precaution of installing a short cable with a clip on the end that locks the switch in the off position when we're not using it. In the end, though, we're satisfied and are reasonably confident that it will serve our needs.

Expensive and Worth It
What a great solution for gassing up my boat. Marine fuel is unnecessarily more expensive and inconvenient on my lake and with this tank i can drive onto my dock and fill my boat's tank in less than five minutes. The electric pump is fast, the alligator clipped wires are even longer than necessary and the entire unit is industrial grade and robust. A terrific product...expensive. but worth it.

Leaking on first use.
Ordered this unit and was excited to use it. Filled tank with nearly 58 gallons of gas. First time using the hose leaks. Reached out to seller and they are willing to replace it but I have to send the old unit back first. What am I supposed to do with 58 gallons of gas until the new unit arrives. Very frustrated at this point. Will update when I get a resolution.

Cap won't come off
Bought in May 2023 filled once and now cap just spins. Frustrating seeing the cost of it. Back to 5 gallon cans until I can figure out a solution. Update 9/18/2023 After contacting AM tank USA and providing video and pictures of issue they agreed to warranty the tank. I received the tank today and it's a bare tank meaning I have to switch everything over, but on the plus side cap does unscrew.

OK but not OK
First of all, the shipper tried to get me a tank on time but PILOT FREIGHT lost it so the shipper sent me another one free of charge I finally received the tank almost a month after I ordered it. Not the Shipper's fault but just my luck and Pilot Freight was no help at all. They just had me calling 6 different locations to get 0 answers. Once I got the tank I filled it up and used it to fill my 10 gallon lawnmower tank. It didn't shut off until the very last second so I filled a couple gas cans and had the same result. Not sure I trust that nozzle. Then I noticed there's a bad leak at the end of the pump where the flange is. Not happy about that. I noticed it has 4 bolt holes and only two bolts. When I get time I'll check that out and see if I can fix the leak. I'm certainly not going through a shipping hassle again. I'll update this as soon as I get to check it out I paid over $1000.00 for this. Is it too much to ask for it to function without problems???
