Very easy to use and perfect cut
My 15 year old son wanted this to help with his glass work projects, I know there are negative reviews but I thought I'll give it a go, first use perfect cut apart from a tiny bit that was left but sanding took this away. He then went onto do more, everyone perfect, he realised he put the rubber ring size he used a touch too far up. As with all hobby gadgets some are for you and some aren't, my son being 15 picked the perfection of this gadget up right away so for us it's 5stars all round, this gadget can be used to help cut down recycling and he already has orders for various glasses and candle holders one happy teenager means one happy mammy ... definitely recommended

Useful But!
I have used it for a couple (cut around 18 bottles) and it is quite useful! At the start it was hard to know if you cut the bottle at the start so I will give my tell you my experience! So cutting thick bottles like Hendricks you have to go around about 2-3 times whilst applying slightly harder than usual pressure into it. If you are cutting something like a wine bottle or in my case (grey goose) just go around it 2 times with enough pressure to see the score onto it and just go around twice. Then when tempering the glass in order for it to pop off like how you see it in the video was a bit annoying to understand at first when as I didn’t see any indications around the scored marks. But to see the indications of it actually working is when you pour the hot water onto the area that has been marked around (the one you cut) you can see the glass cracking through the scratch marks and then slowly turn the bottle around and continue pouring cold and hot water until it is cracked through (it will pop off on its own don’t try to bend it out of frustration cus it will not have a nice seem to it). Best do it with a clear bottle first because I started with a hendricks bottle at the start and had no clue if I was doing it right. Now the final stage was to sand it down so you don’t cut yourself. I would say just sanding the edges of both inside and outside of the rim just to avoid cutting yourself as well as a good decor and using it as a pot, vace or storage. However if you are planning to drink from it. You will have to sand it in circles in a 140+ grit just to sand off most of the parts that are visiblr of where the glass was cut then sand it on a 500-1000 grit just to have a nicer sheen look. Mind you it took me 1hour just to do one which was a greygoose bottle 700ml. So unless if you have a belt sander I do not recommend unless if you have patience like me.

Not easy to use, and not the desired result
Only suitable for straight sided bottles. It can't deal with any angled glass, which is the majority of pretty glass bottles. It is very tricky to get a clean cut, as it fractures easily.

Brilliant product , simple but effective
This is just what I needed to recycle used bottles . These are my very first attempts of bottle cutting and I am really pleased with the outcome. The product is simple to use and does exactly what it says on the tin . One very small observation is that the silicone bands are a tad small and awkward to hold In place but with the aid of a standard rubber band to butt against them they are fine. Having the the cutting tool and gloves is great too . Instructions are clear and easy for anyone to understand . Can't wait to get even more creative.

Does the job...
Feels kind of flimsy at first and the first 6 bottles were an absolute mess... Never done bottle breaking before either, so I kept trying and trying. My hubby gets tons of cola bottles and I wanted to repurpose them into spring sapling planters. Anyone having problems using this; - Make sure you adjust it so that the bottle weight is distributed over at least 4 corner wheels evenly, the back plate is holding the bottle at those points and that the blade is properly making contact with the bottle. The device is riddled with wingnut adjusting points all over, which are so helpful. If you don't hear crunching the bottle at all when lightly spinning, is not positioned correctly or the blade needs adjusting. Otherwise you're going to need more force than needed to get the cutter to contact the bottle properly and this will stress the device, it will start to buckle under heavy force. When adjusted properly, a quick roll by the palm and not a lot of pressure is required at all. - You really don't need a deep cut, just a light scoring of a millimetre at most. If you're doing this with kettle-hot/tap-cold water method, I really suggest the candle/tap-cold water method. Candle for a min, dip in cold, candle the score until very warm, dip, until it gives up all by itself for a good cut. Be patient, tease it, gentle repeats. Took me a few mins per bottle, anywhere from 2/5 reheats. Never got kettle water to cut evenly, it often just splintered, and fractured into an ugly hard to sand cut. On "one" occasion this managed to produce a clean cut all the way through a bottle in some freak one in a million triumph. 5 second bottle cut, a record I'm going to find hard to beat.

Comes with everything you need, good for making drinking glasses (with care)
I chose this product because I didn’t need to buy anything along side it, the only think I would recommend getting a hold of is a pair of safety goggles or something similar, simply because your working with glass. The product is quite easy to use. I used mine to make a drinking glass out of a vodka bottle. I made sure to use the provided sandpaper to smooth out and curve the edges. I’m really happy with the product and what I’ve been able to make

This works just as advertised, when you follow the directions exactly. It says to run the glass under boiling water for a set length of time - anything less and the glass will crack unevenly. But I've been having fun turning old wine or beer bottles or sauce jars into cases and candle holders.

I really like the idea of the product A making your own glasses or vases out of old wine bottles etc. But when it comes to the quality of the machine I’m not very impressed. The edges on the main body is really really sharp and I cut my self while lifting it out of the package. I have no clue as to why they haven’t made the edges less sharp, cause you will notice it the instant you grab it. The video clip of how they remove the sharp edges of the glass is a bit false. It takes a lot more time and effort to get a smooth and safe-to-use surface of the edge.

Ottimo prodotto, economico e funzionale. Buon acquisto e buone creazioni!
