This is inexpensive and works well. The batteries last a long time.

I'm a lady using this on relatively fine facial hair maybe once a week, so I don't know how well it would withstand regular encounters with a beard, but it has worked beautifully for me. Cuts close enough that I'm not even tempted to wax the 'stache anymore-- about as good as shaving. And I seldom have to change the battery.

I have a sensitive nose, so when I try to clean up my stray hairs, I have to deal with post nasal drip for a few days. I purchased this product hoping to have an easier time with side effects. The trimmers cuts the hair multiple time and the suction action is meant to clear out the clippings. Unfortunately for me, the vacuum was so-so. I'm still cleaning out tiny hairs from my nostrils, and I can feel them in the nasal passage. It was super easy to use and does a great job cutting the hairs. Just wish it cleaned up a little better.... Battery compartment was tricky.

This is my first and only nose trimmer. I was apprehensive at the idea of sticking a spinning cutting machine up my nose, with thoughts of nasty cutting or ripping of hairs. After gingerly tip-toeing into actually using this thing, I soon became confident that it would in fact not do any of these things! In 8 years, it may have pulled a hair once or twice when the battery was about dead, and also 2 or 3 times it sort of bit the inner bony part because I got too aggressive and accidentally turned to an off-angle. Respect this machine, and it will do it's work efficiently and painlessly! I use it for my nose, random ear sightings, and eyebrow trimming. More recently adopting facial hair, it comes in handy spot trimming near my mouth and nose. I love this machine. Runs a long time (months) on one AA battery, throw in your travel bag. Trimming bliss--until 6 months ago. It started cutting out, revving down, back up again, stopping abruptly. Not cool, this is how you could pull hair. Shaking the unit seemed to help. Changing the angle seemed to help. What the hecK? Changed the battery--nope. Cleaned the battery contacts--nope. I thought, maybe the springy minus (-) battery contact got compressed, so I bent it up a little--nope. I was back here on Amazon to buy another unit, and checked the reviews. After getting past all the haters, one person said it WAS the battery contact and that fixed identical symptoms. So...I tried again, this time getting a needle nose pliers and pulling the darned spring up maybe 1/4", seemed greatly excessive and unlikely to make a difference. THAT FIXED IT. I'm and electrical engineer, and it took me 6 months to believe it could be that simple, but it was. Please give this a try to save yours if you have the same symptoms. Yes, this machine uses a lot of plastic, and I can't swear that my 2013 unit is the same as what they make in 2021, but I think this is a high quality product.

[UPDATE] Broken a year later. And warranty? Good luck working with Panasonic. Nightmare and waste of money. What I actually got was Panasonic ER430 Nose and Ear Hair Trimmer with Vacuum Cleaning System, Black, 180 Grams. It is an excellent trimmer. The best thing over the Panasonic ER430 Nose and Ear Hair Trimmer with Vacuum Cleaning System, Black, 180 Grams which I had previously was it lasted forever and gave a close trim. Every other one I tried would not get close enough, so I returned them. The Panasonic company is an excellent company. I have bought electronics from them since the 1970s. If you are going to get a nose trimmer I recommend either the ER430K or the ER430.

Been using this product for years now, it's super quiet and effective and small enough to travel with as well
