I bought this to put on the back of access doors for plumbing, since the PVC pipe can be quite loud and I wanted to mitigate all the sound I could for the doors to the cleanouts. I found so many uses for the leftovers. I made a small sound maze to put in the makeup air vent to my laundry room, still plenty of airflow but almost no sound escapes through the vent. I put a layer over my sump pump and now I can't hear it run from 2 floors up.

Many people dont understand MLV, which is evident from reviews. I for one needed it simply to treat my music studio windows behind curtains in combination WITH acoustic Rockwool. I installed from cheap metal grommets to hold sheets up on command hooks, the dispersed weight across 5 hooks holds fine. For those who cant drill into rentals.

4X4 covered 1 door. It reduces about half the noise coming in. Really heavy. Mounted with screws.

I purchased 2 of these and hung over 2 windows. They do help reduce exterior noise. They will not eliminate all noise, so go in without that expectation. They muffle the sound so you will have a quieter room. They are heavy. You’ll likely need some help hanging them up.

Top notch quality! I will buy more from this supplier when I need it. Used it to sound deaden my doors and seal the holes.

I like how this mlv muffles screams from within the treated room. High decibel chain noises are muffled extremely well, but the lower frequency wailing is not as well dampened by the vinyl. ;)

It comes in a big sturdy rectangular (length of a twin sized mattress) box fresh from a construction warehouse and it's heavy. Excellent.
