Miuzei Case for Raspberry Pi 4, Raspberry Pi 4b Case with Fan 35mm, with 5V 3A Power Supply, 4 pcs Heatsinks for Raspberry Pi 4 Model B 8gb / 4gb / 2gb

I had just setup a new application(s) and needed a case. This looked to fit my needs. The case kit comes with some printed material, power supply (5v, 3a), fan with hardware, four heat sinks, an assembled case, mounting screws for the Pi, and rubber feet.Disassembly and assembly was a no brainer. The Pi is held onto the bottom half the case with only two screws. I’m not sure why there aren’t four but the Pi is snug enough in the case that only two are needed. The top half slides onto the bottom half and is then held in place by two long screws. A nice touch is there are metal threaded inserts into the plastic bottom half. It gives the long screws a better hold and avoids possible stripping of the holes. I’m not sure what the two “crosses” are on the bottom case unless they are meant to hang the Pi on the wall or attach it to something. I don’t necessary think this is a good idea having a metal head of a screw or nail that could short out the Pi (unless you cover it with electrical tape.)The 35mm fan is screwed into the top plate. Another nice touch is a 35mm fan is used instead of a 30mm fan. It increases the air flow for the same voltage on the larger fan over the smaller one. What I don’t understand is why there is a small gap between the plate and the top part of the case. There are plenty of slots on the bottom half to allow air to circulate but then, I’m no thermal engineer. Also with the top plate in place, there is no access to the GPIO pins or camera slot. This can be an issue for those of you who need them for control projects. I do like the rubber feet to keep the Pi case from moving around on my table.I wanted to do some very basic temperature checks running the fan either off, on at 3.3v or on at 5.0v. Running a basic OS with it pretty much in idling mode, no load, gave me the following.Fan off: 51C (123F), fan at 3.3v: 36C (96F), fan at 5v: 34C (93F). I thought the fan was kind of noisy at 5V and since there wasn’t much difference in temperature I’m going to run it at 3.3v.Overall, it’s a pretty good product. I like it because of the darker color, the two piece case and smoky top plate. Over time, I come to prefer these kinds of cases over the multi 9 layer ones. They look more professional, easier to assemble, and less chance to break something. The case with the power supply is very good buy and I don’t think you can go wrong with it.

This case has made an excellent addition to my desk and is a perfect match for a Raspberry Pi 4 8GB. This case is different from other cases I've seen from Miuzei. It is completely enclosed, with larger heat sinks, and mounting screws to secure the Pi board to the case.The instructions are simple, graphic, and very clear. The case comes mostly pre-assembled. The assembly is straightforward enough that many might be able to assemble it without the instructions. However, you should follow the directions as it makes the assembly more efficient. The process is basically to disassemble, add your board, add the heatsink and fan, and then reassemble. There is a film over the top to protect the translucent material and protect it in shipping.The case has plenty of ventilation without the usual large openings. This means the case does not have wide external access to the GPIO. There is a space between the case frame and the top cover which might allow you access to the GPIO depending on your configuration. This is perfect for my setup as I am experimenting with the Pi as a light desktop.The vents at the front and the top allow for good circulation over the key components. The included fan fits securely and enhances the circulation for better cooling. Fresh out of the box, the board ran at 60C under load. Installed in the case with the fan running on high (5V), the temp reduced to 35C. With the fan at low speed (3V), the temp only raised to 40C. The fan noise at 5V was noticeably higher than other Muizei cases I've used. The fans look the same, so I assume it is case design. At 5V, the fan is audible at 3 feet and sounds like a laptop fan running. At 3V and 3 feet distance, I cannot hear the fan. Also, the main heatsink is noticeably larger than those provided with other cases.The rectangular shape is attractive with the dark tinted plastic on top. The shape also means all the connectors I have fit nicely with the flush fit side. This has been an issue on other cases with inset connect ports. Access to the SD slot is sufficient below the case allowing easy swapping without disassembly.This case has a very attractive design, with easy access to ports, excellent cooling and looks good on my desktop. It is a perfect addition to my setup and supports my needs nicely.

In short, this case is a step above many of the other Pi 4 cases out there. I have tried about a half dozen of them and this is probably my favorite. It fits together well and is very easy to put together. On top of that it looks great when it is all done. The smoked tint top is a classy touch. It also comes with everything you need to build the Pi enclosure and get it running - 4 anodized blue heat sinks (the one for the CPU is nicely over-sized for better heat dissipation), a quiet fan, rubber feet and a switched 3A power supply with a 5' long cord.Once assembled, the unit looks and feels solid. It is essentially a 3 piece case which I much prefer over the multi layer cases. All of the port openings are perfectly placed so everything plugs in nicely. I am running the included fan on 3.3V and I can't even hear it. Venting below and on the side of the case is good for plenty of airflow to keep the Pi cool even at the lower voltage on the fan.One very minor thing is that there are no slots on the top piece for ribbon cable and GPIO cable pass-through. However there is a thin gap around the perimeter (as designed) that would allow these cables to pass through with the top fully secured. This is probably not a negative for most people and to be honest, not having the dedicated slots for these items gives it a much cleaner look. So, overall, this is a very minor issue that isn't really much of a negative.
