Most Excellent Purchase!
This is a most excellent machine that is far exceeding my expectations in terms of cleaning success and ease of use. Our house is all tile flooring. I was having trouble keeping it clean. We found this Dupray machine and it is AWESOME. It is easy to use and very effective in its cleaning. The attachments are awesome. The one to clean the tile surface works really well. And the attachment to clean the grout lines is amazing! I am able to happily clean my floors every week. They look clean and feel clean. The machine itself is sturdy -- the materials it is made from are clear quality and the machine rolls around beautifully. I can't believe anyone gave this machine a less than stellar 5 star rerivew. It is FANTASTIC. It is great value for the money - it costs a bit more but it works so well it is worth it!

After having bought one…this is a “TAKE MY MONEY” because it’s with it machine.
I love this thing. Only had it for a couple months. Just moved into new place and this thing knocked the bathroom cleaning out of the park. Heavy duty, intuitive use. LOTS of steam. Easy to move around with the rollers and excellent attachments for just about any cleaning project you could think of tackling. Thinking about making this a future birthday gift for someone who would appreciate a gift like this. If you’re thinking about it, just get the thing. Just my cleaning my new toilets when I moved in. Didn’t have to touch a thing. It released anything and everything and made it easy. Nuff said

The little steamer that could....
I was a little disappointed at first. I expected the steam vapor to all but take the paint off of my baked-on, caked-on grill. And I thought...this thing is not up for it. Then I had a reality check with a bottle of 409 and a scrubber. NOTHING was up for that train wreck of a neglected grill. So that was the beginning of a beautiful relationship...forgiveness. I'm sorry little steamer...not your fault at all. Let's start with what it CAN do, which is everything. I bought this steamer to sanitize my boat cushions since I found rodent leavings. The cushions are synthetic-ish cloth and they looked brand new when I was done. They also had no smell at all. This thing blows steam vapor, so they were not wet. They were moist at first and then dry in under 5 minutes. Amazing. So I took it down to the boat. I have a 33 foot express cabin. Any boat owner knows, that at some point, the cabin and bilge have mildew growth and get moldy. I have battled mildew and mold since I bought her using killers, stain removers, scrubbing, white vinegar...blah blah blah. Steam. Steam is the answer. It MELTED the stubborn mildew stains out of the cabin linings, padding, etc. And...steam kills it so it won't grow back. My boat looks brand new and it is 12 years old. My next step is to steam the bilge and try it on limescale in the bathroom. I will update afterward. Other things you need to know. It comes with great, useful accessories. Its fun to figure out what to do with them. The squeegee tool is really cool. It is relatively safe. It is pretty hard to burn yourself with it. I did, but I was actually trying to see what it would take. I dunno, I'm weird like that. I mean...I wanted to give the best review possible. It is light and easy to work with. I can carry it around with a full boiler with no problem. I am a 5'6" tall, female and horribly out of shape. Must be the constant sitting and snacking. It heats up very quickly. If you're think about buying a Shark or some other model marketed by Bed Bath and Beyond, let me help you understand the differences. I bought a Shark for my parents. It is a good product. If you want to sanitize rather than really clean, it's for you. It also has a price-point of less than $150. I used it to sanitize my parent's house after my dad was diagnosed with cancer. Like I said, it is a good product and does it's job, but I had to work pretty hard along with it to get half of the results that I wanted. The difference is it's capabilities. It takes very long intervals of holding the steam on a surface to work. This can leave the surface wet. The steam also isn't very hot, so additional wiping and scrubbing is necessary. You have to refill it constantly. You have to wait quite a long time for it to heat up. Its a pain in the ass to use. Clunky and burdensome. The Dupray follows you around like a puppy dog. I realize that Dupray's products are expensive. But for $100 more than you would pay for a Shark, you could get the household version of a Dupray. Closing comment... I don't know how I ever lived without it.

Well Built Unit Works Great
Great unit. No doubt expensive. However, you get what you pay for. Some of the reviews reflect issues that are found in cheaper brands. The one shipped to me is flawless. Works exactly the way it was designed. Reaches 317° - 320° very quickly (8 - 10 min max). The vapor is not saturated or watery as some have suggested. If the unit sits without use for a period of time, the recommendation is to release the first triggered steam into a bucket or sink to rid the hose of condensation. After releasing, the vapor is no longer saturated and you go on to cleaning with steam vapor. I have a cheaper unit which works well at 1/10th the cost. But it gets messy after a relative short time (10 - 15 min) with saturated vapors. This doesn't happen with Dupray as long as you are using it. I have cleaned my greasey, stained, 50 year old oven to almost spotless (also using oven cleaner). I would show pics, but it needs cleaning again. This unit works well. Expensive, but worth the money if you enjoy working with precision instruments. I highly recommend this unit.

Not what is all cracked up to be
I previously had a $300 steamer and sold it as I was never happy with its ability to clean any better than a warm mop or a little elbow grease. I purchased this unit with the hope that it would perform on a different level, but I was mistaken. It cleaned the tile floors well but honesty no better than a microfiber mop and warm cleaning solution. I actually like the microfiber mop better as I don't have to lug around a heavy unit with water in it. I also tried it in the showers of my home and was not impressed as it cleans no better than some cleaning solution and elbow grease. I purchased it mainly to clean the grout in my kitchen and it virtually did nothing at all. Don't waste your time cleaning grout with it as it wont do anything. While the unit is extremely well made from the canister to the attachments I just did not think it was worth the $1,000. If you really want a steamer I would go with a cheap unit as it does the same thing with less sturdy attachments.

First, the machine: I love the Tosca for its much superior steam temperature, (316° as opposed to other brands at around 212 to 220°.) Also, Tosca has much higher pressure, (75 PSI as opposed to 55 or 65 PSI). So you have constant steam at high temperature without having to stop for pressure loss every few minutes. And, the high pressure and high heat last for about 60 minutes (depending on your use and how much water is in the tank). The Tosca also is Commercial Grade, which means that this machine can last a much longer period of time, many years with normal use. I use distilled water only. The manual may say you can use tap water, or a mixture of the two, but I believe that using distilled water is the best for keeping the unit as clean from mineral buildup as possible, and with normal cleaning every 50 days or so, this will protect the machine's performance and endurance as best as possible. As for its performance, I find it steams off dirt, grime, and areas of baked-on crusty food that may have been sitting on a table top, counter or floor for weeks. It's not instantaneous, no steam cleaner is able to do that, as a vacuum cleaner would do. It does take a bit of time (a minute or two) to allow the steam to melt the stain or crusty spot first, and then allow the tool you are using - such as one of the brush heads, or one of the included fibre cloths - to gently do its magic by slowly and lightly rubbing the spot a bit at a time, as you watch the old, crusty yuck, gradually liquefy and simply turn into a dirty water that you simply wipe off with a paper towel. And, voilà! The surface is sparkling clean and completely sanitized without the use of any chemicals or even soap. All you used was clean water! The Tosca also comes with a handy fill-bottle, so you don't need a measuring cup and funnel to get the water into the machine's tank, as all the other other machines I've tried do. Now, as to the quality of the service - in one word, Excellent. They have a customer service 800 phone number on the included literature, which is answered, in my experience, within seconds of dialling the main number and pushing the correct buttons on your phone pad. The person I dealt with was named Steve. He was courteous, polite, knowledgeable, and all too willing to help. So, my experience with Steve would prompt me, with no hesitation, to give him 5 stars. He helped me tremendously. Needless to say, given my above description of the unit itself, I give that 5 stars as well. So, thank you Steve, and thank you Dupray. You have made my cleaning experience lighter, shorter, and even fun!

Loved that this item shipped quickly. It was well packaged. Despite that I did have a small piece broken but the company is sending a replacement. Comes with multiple attachments. I watched a couple videos with regards to using this item, so it was very simple to set up and use. I have had folding chairs For about 20 years and was ready to throw them away because the upholstery was looking terrible. The Steamer clean them amazingly! They look brand new again.

I did a fair amount of research and review reading before we made this purchase, This machine was significantly more money than we had originally anticipated spending, but it seemed to overcome all the failings that people had reported about other, less expensive units. We figured that there was no sense paying less for more headaches and we intend to keep this machine for a long time. We have had the Tosca for about a week now. We started with cleaning the grout on our tile floors. They were not very dirty by any means, as we clean them regularly with a brush and soap/vinegar solution. We started with the small nylon brush attachment, the bristles of which deformed after about 10 minutes, so we switched to the brass brush. It was perfect and the grout came up looking like new. Inspired, we moved on to the toilet seats and got out dirt that we didn’t know existed. There is an area on the seat where the lid attaches to the seat that you could never get at with any other tool. The lance was a perfect tool to ‘flush’ out the debris that had collected over time. Excellent result. We then moved on to the furniture. A few deep stains proved resistant to the tool, however, it was pretty amazing to look at the microfibre cloth attached to the triangular tool after using it on the cushions and the back, for a short time, and see the dirt that you would never have imagined accumulated over time. These were white couches that, aside from a few stains, did not look dirty to start with. The corners of the skirting of the couch which touch the floor, however, were very dirty and the steamer did not get the dirt out. That was probably asking too much of it. We followed that up with a Bissell Spotclean Proheat carpet and furniture cleaner, which did the trick. It uses an oxy solution which was obviously needed. We have hardwood floors, and will probably try out the Tosca to strip them of the cleaning solution used on them regularly. I am also anxious to try it out on my barbecue grills. It’s winter here and it is covered for the season, but come the spring, it will get a tryout. Something you should be aware of - when the machine starts to produce steam, it spews out water, before the steam starts to come out. I hold the wand over the sink when I have just filled the machine, so that the water does not come out onto the area you are going to use it on. One thing that I wonder about is the steam production. The steam seems to come out in pulses, rather than a constant stream. If you are using the lance to move along a line, it puts out an inconsistent amount of steam as you move it along, I am not sure if this is normal. I’m going to ask the manufacturer. All in all, if you are a clean freak, you will sleep well at night knowing your house is clean. We highly recommend this unit.

J'aime beaucoup mon nettoyeur vapeur. Il est solide et sécuritaire. Il se crée un peu d'eau par contre et les surfaces traitées deviennent mouillées. Je m'attendais à une vapeur plus sèche. J'ai pourtant bien suivi les instructions.
