Question 1

i want to make sure i am reading this correctly, it is 10 pieces, and EACH peice is 48 inches in length, so 480 in total? thanks

Accepted Answer

10 pieces, 48” each for total length of 480 inches

Question 2

what is the width of each piece, not the length but the width? Not the package, but the width of each metal piece.

Accepted Answer

2020 stock is 20mm by 20mm. 2030 would be 20mm by 30mm. and so on. You need to be careful as this only gives you the gross external dimensions. The PROFILE may be different from one supplier to the another AND the purpose may be slightly different. For example, a "V" slot extrusion is specifically for a linear rail system. What you see here is specifically for a T slot hold dawn. In practice I've seen people use the different profiles interchangeably but performance may suffer.

Question 3

Is it possible to bend these beams on the pipe bender so that the rollers can roll freely on them? A circle with a diameter of half a meter

Accepted Answer

It is unlikely you could bend it well. This is T5 meaning the hardened level. T6 is typically the maximum. The harness provides strength but makes bending difficult. With all the structure you may not get the channel fit that it has pre bend. If the bend radius is shallow enough you might be able to make it work. As a wild guess I would think it would be well under 10 degree bend. The anodizing also will not like being bent.

Question 4

The description states european standard extrusion, which is 6mm? but it also states m5 at 5mm? is the slot 5mm or 6mm?

Accepted Answer

Slot width is 6mm. The M5 is in reference to common hardware that is compatible with this size extrusion but not a reference to the slot width.
