I bought this and it works for audio, but video is in black and white. Is there a setting or something to fix this?

I had the same issue. It worked correctly the first day, but the next day there was no video, only audio. Come to find out that the software (Honestech VHS to DVD 3.0) is outdated and no longer supported. I just ordered a newer version, but it it is much more expensive.

How do you get the video to display on the capture screen? I can hear the sound but can't see the video.

Go to options and change source to AV to USB2.0. I was having no video also, It worked for me. You need to select the correct Video sourse.

Can this convert things to a video file that can be watched on pc, or does it have to be transferred to a dvd in order to watch?

Does this work well with capturing video games?

It worked for capturing composite video and stereo audio outputs from vhs machine when we used it.
