Works perfectly
Works perfectly in my 2000 Cadillac Deville. Got rid of my P0404 and P0101 codes and restored gas mileage I had lost. Be sure to get a proper ACDelco gasket to use with it because the included one seems pretty crappy to how nice the ACDelco one is. I'll be sure to update if it ends up failing in the near future or something. Edit: It's now a few weeks later and my car is performing way worse than it was with my old dirty EGR valve. I had the dealer look at it and they told me it was the EGR valve causing my problems and that I should have used an original part. I've ordered a new EGR valve and should be getting it tomorrow, and if it turns out this EGR valve was what was causing all my problems I'll be sure to come back and update this review again. If it was, I can safely say I'll be staying away from aftermarket parts from now on. Edit 2: I replaced this valve with an AC Delco one and my problems have persisted, so this valve is probably fine. Edit 3: The problem the whole time was my catalytic converter, like I thought, and the dealership I took it to was full of it, just looking to swindle me out of as much money as possible. This EGR valve is just fine.

P1404/P0404; Fit 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD
My truck had developed a major stuttering issue especially at idle and lower RPM around 2-3k. It took a while for an engine light to finally come on, and it threw out a p1404 code and a p0404 pending. I didn't expect an EGR valve to cause such stutter, but from what I gathered the computer was trying to close the valve but it was stuck open, throwing the code and letting exhaust straight back into the intake. The stuttering was awful at low speeds and on highway speeds in overdrive, and my MPG absolutely tanked. I installed this 2 bolts off, 2 bolts on (10mm), and deleted the engine light with my code reader. Immediately on first startup I was able to feel a world of difference. The idle felt night and day, and the truck now drives so much smoother. This truck is 18 years old and that part was factory, so I'd say 18 years is a really good run for this part. Hopefully this aftermarket one will last at least half that long for 1/3 the price of Delco. Fingers crossed.

probably hsould have bought from a reputable manufacturer. or maybe 5 years is long enough for some people. but the first one lasted 18 years and may not have been bad when I switched it out

Simple to install.
It is important to have a magnet to attract both nuts when removing the original EGR, then installing the new EGR.

Perfect OEM Replacement
I installed this about 10,000 miles ago to replace my failing EGR Valve and it has worked flawlessly. Don’t let the inexpensive price fool you, it appears quality built and has held up well. I did follow other customers advice and purchase the OEM Delco gasket for a few extra dollars. Although in hindsight, the gasket provided probably would have worked fine, I wanted to have everything needed to start the job. I have no regrets at all about this purchase and I’m happy about the money I saved with this one.

Noticed a tremendous gas mileage increase.
Works great, and it's probably a coincidence but I noticed my gas mileage increased by about 4 mpg after installing this. Probably a coincidence because it doesn't really make sense that my gas mileage would increase at all, yet at the same time I didn't do anything else that could have increased the gas mileage, so....

Bought this for my 2004 Buick Lesabre 3.8l, 3rd the cost of the next economy brand. So far working 100%, resolved the issues the old one was causing, some I've had for years and did not realize they were related to the EGR Valve. I figure even if it dies after the 18month warranty still cheaper in the long run.

Installed easy and with gasket provided, engine light went out and truck not stalling any more.
