The Waveshare Servo Driver Module for Raspberry Pi Pico is a powerful tool designed for robotics enthusiasts. With 16-channel outputs and 16-bit resolution, it allows for precise control of robotic arms and hexapod walkers. The module features an integrated 5V regulator, supports a variety of common servos, and comes with extensive development resources, making it an ideal choice for both beginners and seasoned developers.

Perfect for Robotics Project
I have previously built something very similar to this using protoboard and an external buck converter. This board from Waveshare is _sooo_ much cleaner and easier than doing it yourself. Unlike many other PWM controllers, the board itself does not provide any of the electronics for the PWM. Rather it just conveniently exposes the pins of the Raspberry Pi Pico in a way that makes it easy to hook up 16 servos and leverages the built-in PWM functionality of the Pico. I love that this board includes a voltage regulator that will convert a 6-12 volt source to the 5 volts necessary to drive the board AND the servos. In my project I have 2x18650 batteries (7.4 volt) that I plugged into the screw terminals to drive the board. The power switch and reset button are also handy additions. I also really like that the extra GPIO pins are exposed in a separate pin header so that you don't lose that functionality by plugging the pico into the PWM board. My only minor complaint is that I think that the board could probably be a little more compact if they packed the circuitry in a little tighter. It should still fit on my project, but would look a bit more tidy if it were more compact.

works!
works as advertised.

Buy this item if you know how to use it
I gave 2 starts due to the board has no instruction. No example to show how to use it. I will figure out how it work in the near future.
