Got this back in December, and it has made all the difference. I used to use Shea Moisture’s shampoo and conditioner, which I thought was working my hair to its full potential, however after I bought this just to try, my hair has never been softer, it’s visibly shiny, and it’s way easier to brush. The listing says it reduces frizz, and it really does. Even after using gel and a small amount of products, just rinsing with water while showering still keeps the healthy, shiny, and soft look. Plus, I’m still using the same two bottles I originally bought, so it has enough to last for a while. The only con I have about it is that it doesn’t help with dandruff. It doesn’t specifically say it’s for dandruff, but just putting this in here that you probably need a separate shampoo to tackle that. Totally recommend this!!

Really impressed with this shampoo. It did everything it said it would: cleansed my scalp without drying out my curls, and left them soft, shiny and bouncy. The only thing that kept if from being a 5 star review is the smell. It has a musky/powdery scent that reminds me of cheap drugstore perfume. Something my grandmother would wear. But that's my only complaint.

Best shampoo I’ve bought for my daughter in a long time. It leaves her curls hydrated with incredible softness and makes them so much easier to manage. The best part is the smell. This is the best smelling shampoo and conditioner ever.

I typically use V&Co but bought this set on recommendation. It’s very different. I felt like the shampoo was difficult to rinse and the conditioner didn’t leave my hair seaweed slick, but I kept using it because it isn’t cheap, but I am. I adjusted the amount of shampoo and added a leave it conditioner rather than not rinsing all of this conditioner out. My hair adjusted really quickly. This stuff gives way better curl clumps than I’m used to, my hair appears more shiny and controlled with little to no frizz, and it’s so effective I don’t use as many additional styling products. Too much shampoo does create oiliness and I was a bit worried about skin irritation because I’m allergic to a lot of products, but I didn’t have any of that. My hair appears more moisturized, softer and more manageable, and overall healthier. I think the issue with rinsing the shampoo out (other than using too much product) is that my hair is corse and porous - I think? It absorbs products too well so whatever causes that. Also, it’s supposed to do that because it has a bonding agent, I think. I’m not hair savvy. I just watch a lot of videos. I would say that overall I really like the shampoo and conditioner, but I do plan to swap it around with old faithful when I need the protein. The scent is nice but not overpowering.

I really love this shampoo conditioner combination. I rotate this with another brand and my hair has never looked better. The consistency is a little weird but smells nice and works perfect with my hair. I have a lot of fine hair 2C-3B and slightly beached. I will purchase more once I run out.

As a licensed hairstylist and a type 2C/3A curly girl, I love trying out new curl specific products. I’ve heard great things about this brand and was very excited to try it out myself. Upon using it I’ve found that both the shampoo and conditioner smell very nice and clean. The shampoo was a bit drying but I also live in the desert with hard water so that combo wasn’t great for me personally. The conditioner did feel nice and moisturizing and not super heavy in my hair at all. I still followed up with my normal curl products afterwards and didn’t notice too much of a change in frizz level or definition so I would say this is a decent base line shampoo and conditioner! I do plan on trying their more hydrating products to see how it differs but if you’re looking for a standard duo I’d say try it out!

I absolutely love all the Umberto products for curly hair!! They make curly frizzy hair soft and really manageable!! I’ve tried a lot of products for thick curly hair and these by far are the best I gave ever used!! I will continue to buy all their products for curly hair! It makes your hair very shiny and healthy looking and gas a very pleasing scent

Product helps in keeping the girls in shape without being super crunchy. Smells good as well.
