Edexcel Maths for IGCSE® (with CD)

A few typos but on the whole a great book.

Very helpful and detailed

A good book with answers but some of the questions are confusing as there is insufficient explanation on the "theory" page.

Forget the existing GCSE Maths, this is what it should beabout and not surprised that many independent schools have moved over to this.

Very disappointed with this book. You just about need a degree just to find the answers to questions. Not a very well thought out book.

I tutor in Maths, and I must say this is an outstandingly well-presented textbook, beautifully laid out and illustrated throughout. It combines the content of OUP's GCSE Maths Higher and Higher Plus books (both also excellent) into a single large 460-page book specifically tailored for the Edexcel IGCSE Maths syllabus, the most challenging GCSE syllabus in the market today. It's not aimed at self-learners but could be used by gifted students in such a manner, as all the summary answers (except for proof-based questions) are given in the back.It comes with a CD containing the whole book in pdf as well as a wealth of additional revision and exam exercises. The reviewer who complained of an insufficient number of exercises clearly hadn't got round to examining the full contents of the CD.

I find this book really helpful. It could do with a few more questions and examples to help those less gifted mathematically but does cover enough ground to include challenges for all levels. It is well laid out with good examples, clear indexing and the answers are easy to find.
