Kill Switch: Devil's Night

I hated Damon in the previous two books, and even though we saw a lot of Damon in hideaway, it left me confused but we really got a lot of answers to the questions that that book produced. We learn a lot about Damons past and it explains a lot of his behaviour and why he is the way he is. I love how winter is like the water to Damon’s fire, if anything happened- good or bad- Damon needed winter by his side. Winter has a disability that I had no idea about going Into this book. Even with that disability she is one of the strongest heroins I’ve ever read about and I admire her so much. Although she sometimes believes that her disability will slow everyone down, Damon is right there to reassure her of how independent and strong she is. I love their development throughout this book and they are honestly so cute, even with the facade that Damon puts up, he can’t help but become a teddy bear when it’s just the two of them. I highly recommend this series. It has everything from spice to amazing plots. Yet another incredible book from Penelope Douglas.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I put off reading this for so long because I hated Damon, but this book made me fall in love with him and now I hate myself for forgiving him

All of the stars!Kill switch is Book 3 in the devil’s night series. Corrupt and hideaway need to be read before hand or you will be lost.What can I say about this book. It was outstanding. If you’ve read the other two books in the series you will know all about Damon Torrance and trust me I didn’t want to like him, I really didn’t. He’s done some messed up things but some how Penelope Douglas has made me fall deeply in love with Damon. He made me shout at my kindle, cry for him, want to hold him close and tell him everything will be ok. He made me roll my eyes, call him a names and smile so hard I didn’t know if I was coming or going.Penelope’s writing was exquisite, her story telling pulling you into the moments and making you feel like you are a part of everything.Winter, my sweet winter. She was everything. She fits in so well with the other girls and I love that she has a backbone, so strong!I have been waiting and anticipating this book for a long time and I really didn’t believe that it could live up to the other two as I knew there was no way that Penelope Douglas could make me like Damon. How could she make me understand him and feel him. I was so wrong. She did and she did it so well I can feel him in my bones.I thought i knew where this story was going to go...l I had no clue. I thought i could guess the twists.... I didn’t have any idea. I’m glad I read this book slowly and savoured it because I really enjoyed it. I took in all of the words and felt them, holding them close to me.Michael used to be my favourite horsemen, Damon has taken over and massively surpassed him. This book will tear you limb from limb, get your pulse racing, bring tears to your eyes and consume you. I couldn’t have loved this book more if i had tried. Damon is the best kind of anti hero.I couldn’t prepare myself for the emotions that this book put me through but I was worth every damn thing.I can’t wait for Will’s book, I already know it’s going to be EPIC.Well done Penelope Douglas, I bow down to you. Read the book, read the series and fall in love. You won’t regret a thing.

Similarly to some of these reviews I also put off reading the 3rd book to the series. Only god knows why! I think both in combination with a reading slump and also that I was very apprehensive to want to hear Damon’s story after his character portrayal in the other two books. Because let’s me honest I think we all had a dislike for a while! I wasn’t sure I would ever warm to him! But boy was I wrong, his upbringing story line really cut deep and was super sad, which made complete sense as to why he was molded into who he was growing up. It was so nice to see him placed with winter who had also come from a broken past, meeting in the middle to try and balance each other out. Penelope has this wonderful way of keeping you gripped in every single book she writes, I can never be bored or lead astray because I’m glued everytime. I now love how much Damon is rubbing off on me, even tho he does and says some very questionable things, and can’t wait to see how he has continued to develop in the next book(s).

Brilliant. I couldn’t stop reading . Damon … my heart ached for him over and over , I’ve never wanted someone to end up happy so much .. I can’t believe how much this book got into my head.

This book would have been so much better had the first half not been there. I have to agree that it took me ages to get to the half way mark. However, I loved Damon’s character. He’s the reason I kept reading.Looking forward to Will’s story.

So I unfortunately fell into the trap of folding like everyone else before me…and falling completely in love with Damon.It’s crazy to fall in love with a character so much that you (only 48 hours ago) despised. I cried for this man. Chapter 22 BROKE me. Tears streamed down my face and I had to take a minute to carry on reading.Winter was such a fun FMC. Her strength, her humour and courage were so fun to read throughout the book. There were so many moments where I was giggling and blushing… Damon and winter in the car was definitely one of them.And Damon and Will… was certainly another 🫣 more of that wouldn’t have been frowned upon Penelope!!A broken inside and a broken outside coming together to fix each other. 🥺 idk why but this book felt like so much more heart and soul was put into it. There were so many characters that got great plot points…there was always tension and story…the series is completely elevated with this one.I love Damon Torrance and I am not ashamed to admit it…

It’s probably my favourite out of the series but god the long chapters made it so difficult to get through I’ve had to read it in segments taking me about 2 months in total

Eu estava faminta pela história do Damon e esse livro conseguiu superar as minhas expectativas. Finalmente consegui entender o que se passa na cabeça dele e o motivo dele ser assim. A escrita é maravilhosa, quando você menos percebe, o livro acaba.The other books made me hungry for Damon's story, and this book did not disappoint. I finally understood what happened behind his mask, and I loved every moment. The writing is amazing, and when you realize, the book's over.Penelope NEVER dissapoint.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS!!Oh....em....gee.....!!!!! I just keep falling deeper and deeper in love with this series!!! These books hit so right in such twisted ways, and I love it!So we are continuing with our saga and picking back up with our boy Damon and his story. He's been so demonized this entire series, and getting to finally see it from his perspective so we can understand him, was so satisfying. Because he is dark. He is mean. But with good reason. We can be turned into such monsters by the hands of others and of the hands of those who are supposed to love us most. Damon's story is heavy and so painful and so valid. We do the flashback dialogs ating back to high school, and split perspectives between him and Winter Ashby, the girl who some how has touched his soul many years ago, and he can not get away from the pull. But now as adults and now that their history is so muddied, the dynamics have become to twisted and the struggles heavy. Damon is ruthless in this book. He says some of the cruelest things to harm our leading lady, and you feel them. The plot is just so twisted, and the roads start bleeding into each other, and you are just grasping for the answer. By the end of this book the action and suspense was digging into my soul and hit with some final blows I never would have expected!!!The spice in this book is heavy... but in a lot of edging ways. The torment Winter is subjected to by Damon is insane. There is so much teasing and dominating, and power plays and you are waiting and waiting and the throwback scenes are so hot... but the shower scene at the end... oh my... good lord! It's right up there with the suana scene in book one between Michael, Rika and Kai.I love these books. They just keep giving. I love how many twists and in the plot and the characters are so amazingly developed!!! I love them. I can't wait to get to the final book... but first the mini Novella in between!

Well what can I say. I did not expect to like it as much as I did. But wow this book made me question my liking’s 🤣🤣🤣🤣.Good book! Worth the time ❤️

Endlich ist er dran: Damon!Winter ist in ihrer Erinnerung an den Tag im Labyrinth gefangen, als sie den Jungen mit dem schwarzen Haar und Rabenaugen traf: Damon Torrance. Sie fühlte sich in seiner Nähe sehr wohl, nicht in Watte gepackt und er war anders, doch welches Schicksal sie erwartet, hätten die beiden wohl Jahre später nicht gedacht ...𝓕𝓪𝔃𝓲𝓽: Okay: Was zum Teufel ist das für ein Crazy Setting. Ich habs geliebt und auch, wenn es für manche etwas bizarr sein wird, es ist genau mein Ding.Damon mochte ich zwar im ersten Band überhaupt nicht. Er war um es knapp zu sagen: Ein A*loch! Allerdings hat sich meine Ansicht nach Band zwei deutlich verbessert, wodurch ich mich auf seine Geschichte umso mehr gefreut habe.Ich habe mir Damon aber tatsächlich anders vorgestellt, weswegen er nicht weniger interessant ist. Zudem finde ich es sehr schön, wie Winters Charakter und ihre besonderen Umstände eine Rolle spielen. Echt sehr cool umgesetzt.Klassisch erwartet uns wieder ein Spiel aus Gegenwart und Vergangenheit, wo wir mehr über die Devils Night und vor allem Damon mit Winter erfahren. Und was wir erfahren, Leute. Einige schmutzige Geheimnisse kommen ans Tageslicht und haben mich doch sehr überrascht. Ich hatte nie wirklich erahnen können, was als Nächstes passiert. Und der Spice, Halleluja. Habe ich schon erwähnt, das der von Penelope immer sitzt? Ich liebe es!Ich will nichts verraten, ABER ich hätte mir sehr gut eine andere Person mit Damon am Ende vorstellen können, weil es einfach so krass gut zwischen ihnen passte!Von mir gibt's eine klare Empfehlung und ich freue mich auf die zwei kleinen und den letzten Band.
