Good quality and easy to use left handed
Most scoops with the “wiper” feature are designed to be used right-handed. This product can be used equally well with either hand, so it is a real boon for lefties. High quality stainless steel. Fairly easy to clean. I have no idea what “thickness” means in the rating stars, but I see no reason to rate any aspect of this product low.

If I could rate this product zero stars it would still be over rated. Track & gear misalignment, causing handle to stick. Bowl wiper pops out. Product is very poorly made.

The Perfect Scoop!
I simply love this scoop. I bought it for portioning my cookie dough, and it works great!!! It is well constructed of stainless steel and works in either hand.

Not Vollrath usual quality.
I have always used these scoops for making meatballs and cookies. This was the only size left I that I needed. It broke the first time I used it. I got about 5 small meatballs out of it before it slipped a tooth on the gear and made the throw of the swiper inside the scoop off. Instead of the going from the top of one side to the top of the other and ejecting the contents it started above the top of the scoop on one side and doesn’t completely swipe the contents thus not allowing it to eject the contents I tried to fix it but I couldn’t get it back on the correct tooth. Vollrath makes quality products but this isn’t one of them. I threw it out. Not worth sending back.

Great for scooping batter when making waffles
Love this product. It's the perfect measuring device when making waffles in my waffle maker. It takes just about 4 scoops for a perfect waffle.
