Good! A bit worried at the very beginning so I made several recordings to see if it works. It turned out to be awesome with very good and clear sound quality. It is also easy to use and looks pretty with color display. I can also transfer the recording files to my Mac, easy and great. Love it and recommend it!

I loved this little device when I used it. The sound was great, it was easy to use and felt like great quality. Then it died. When I switch on to use for a second time all I get is a message in the window saying "no recordings found". No menu, no battery indicator, nothing. Of course the support window closed a few days ago. So glad I saved the one recording I did make to my pc.

This product is TERRIBLE. I used the device twice to record important work meetings that needed to be uploaded to my computer. After I transferred the files and saved them to my computer, I disconnected the device properly by selecting the eject button. The device completely crashed after I did so. I wrote an email to the company explaining my issue and asking for a new one. They were very nice and had a new one shipped within a few days. I just recorded a few more meetings with my new device. I just got done connecting the files to my computer, and again, after properly ejecting the device it crashed AGAIN. Same exact issue!! This sure is a great device to use if you only want to connect to your computer ONCE. What a COMPLETE WASTE OF MY MONEY.

Other reviewers talked about the clunky functioning of the buttons. That has proved to be true. I always have to see if a button push worked or wasn't firm enough or direct enough. My Olympus is much more reliable if I remember to push record. I bought this for the VAR so I won't forget to push record when I am walking and dictating. Whether it will solve that problem is still an open question. I also find the many functions under the "menu" button to be anything but intuitive as the manufacturer claims, though it may be partly my not being used to having all these options.

Pretty good sound quality and easy playback. Controls are user-friendly. Good product.

It's overplayed overplayed over the other things that I recorded so it was of no use to me

Nothing but issues since I purchased this recorder. Recording issues. Transferring files issues, and INADEQUATE support when the company had support. Took them weeks to respond, and now they no longer own their domain name. Try accessing their website xmangear.com. Recorder no longer records. Shows it is recording but once complete and you stop the recording, a message comes up saying no recording, and there is none. They have two listings for this device at different prices here on Amazon. DO NOT PURCHASE. BUYER BEWARE.

Great for what I need it for, it has two power buttons though, keep that in mind!
