Maggi Rio HL1643/1645/1618/1629/1616 4G Food Processor and Coconut Scrapper Attachment for only Philips Mixers (Red)

Product is as described. Buy Maggi 4G instead of 3G (no coconut scrapper) Main advantage is that you need not buy a full food processor @Rs. 5000 - 6000 if you already have a mixer grinder. 1. All the accessories are working perfectly. The gear does not put load on mixie motor.totally best quality. 2. Coconut scrapper is the main here, scraps well. Scrapping coconut by hand is a nightmare ladies knows this. 3. Dough kneading excellent within a minute, but Nightmare with naked hands. 4. Finger chips so fine need not go out for this. 5. Whipping,chopping, slicing, scraping all works fine. Citrus juicer excellent. Overall a nice attachment at a reasonable cost with nice build quality. The mixer I have mounted this attachment with is Murphy Richard Icon DLX, 650w.For all the bellow operations I used only speed one.The gear box comes off along with the processor when I tried to remove the processor bowl alone.. I guess you need to hold the gear box and then remove the processor bowl.... Quality: For 1.9k product is good, you cannot compare the quality of plastic/blades used with high end food processor attachments for which you pay 10-15k. Chopping: Blades are made of steel , so far I have used only chopping blade to chop onions, it was fast and reasonably good. Again in the good quality food processor with real sharp blades you will not see watery chopping.. however in this it was little watery... which is still ok. Atta kneader is good, max. capacity that you can knead is 350g, it hardly takes a minute to do this.. apply lilttle oil on the interior of the processor bowl so atta doesn't stick to it...After use soak in normal water for a while that way it is easier to clean processor. Coconut attachment: grated 1 coconut in almost 10 mins... well I feel the grater teeth could have had a little more depth.. whatever they showed in the demo was little dry coconut I guess... it grates real fine.. some inner part of coconut grater attachment had sticky coconut left, you have to use hot soapy water for cleaning it. It takes almost same time as you grate coconut from hand.. and you cannot grate fully.. little portion of leftover coconut has to be scrapped with hand/knife in the end if you do not want to waste it. Yet to use the other attachments.Will write more after I use it. The only reason I bought Maggi 4G - I had a mixy which was in good condition , so this attachment served the purpose.. - coconut scrapping.. you can hardly see this attachment with any other food processor. -Money - it is not that cheap either.. however we do not have similar products to compare to.. -durability... not sure have to wait and watch... -service ... don't know did not read the manual given fully... it comes with 6months warranty

The Maggi Rio 4G is a great product: good quality, priced & packaged very well with user-friendly manual + demo dvd. I had watch the online video recently which influenced my decision to buy the product. Both food processor container + citrus juicer attachment are substantial in size. The Maggi Rio 4G performs several functions so I don't need to buy/store many different machines. To test the product, I grated a zucchini - it just took about 5 seconds -and the grated shreds were nice and dry, not moist as when hand grated. However, shredding cabbage with shredder blade produced really tiny pieces not long shreds - next time I'll try out the slicing & french fries blades for cabbage - will also have to watch the video once more to check if I did it right. Amazon delivered one day late - and compensated by sending me a check for 500/- immediately which was a pleasant surprise though I won't encash the check because I'm happy with the product. All through, Amazon's interaction with me was commendable.

i bought this as gift to my mom she hated it the moment she saw it !! I use a super silent Philips mixer after attaching this product my mixer turned into Tata tractor !! Pros 1. This is very useful for bachelors 2. It's cuts and chops the vegetables properly 3. Even The atta kneader works fine but not perfect Cons 1. It's so loud either make ur kitchen sound proof or your neighbor is gonna throw stones at you 2. Atta kneader ain't so great it works alright but not perfect and it's so freaking difficult to wash it sticks all over 3. New modified cocunut scrapper is a joke ! It was difficult for me to do it so u can imagine how difficult it would be for our mother and granny's 4. It's bulky and ugly and the processor comes out from the mixer many a times while I was Scrapping the cocunut it ain't perfect fit even though I bought the Philips compatible 4 g processor !! As the old saying goes anything made in India is a crap for sure!! Am overall very dissapointed !! My search for cocunut scrapper continues!! Please don't waste your time and money

It's an amazing thought in the first place to convert your mixer into food processor. Unfortunately, the attachment fits a few type of mixers. To my luck, I had 3 different models of mixers at home and it fit only one of them but I had to put some buffer material (like foam strips) in between the attachment and mixer to make it adaptable and fit snugly. So, before you order make sure you see the list of compatible mixers they have suggested and then buy. It's fantastic product and coconut scraper is slow moving hence very useful, however due to a lot of gears in coconut scraper attachment, it makes some noise. Other usual food processing functions work well and Very much satisfied with it.

It is very costly. Makes lot if noise though it is easy to use. All attachments are working fine. The atta kneading capacity is less, max 350 gms at a time. If there are more people in the house then you may have to knead atta more than once. If you do not mind the noise and if you are ready to knead the dough more than once then go for it.
