As a quick note, this method of thinking for mechanical systems will improve your ability to understand the engineering environment. These methods are not often taught in lower level engineering schools and along with methods such as TRIZ, DFMEA, and DfX can vastly improve an engineers minds eye.

Book is scanned the wrong way, shows top or bottom half of both left/right page, and is just a poor photograph of the book, blurry to the point of illegibility. Completey useless and waste of money. Order a physical copy if you need this book.

So far, I have enjoyed this book. Having a background in electronics engineering, my mechanical engineering exposure was mainly statics from college. This book really highlights mechanical aspects of devices. Within the first chapter, I'm already seeing problems with one of my product's design.

Good book, but missing several paragraphs of text that contain key explanations.

Helps to get a clear understanding of Kinematic principles.

This book was offered me to read by a colleague, senior mechanical engineer.It was a very good read for me, an optical engineer, to understand the design mentality of mechanical persons.The book is well written, sometimes witty (I laughed hard reading some existential questions;-) and every chapter covers not only the topic but gives a lot of insight of what to do in certain circumstances.There is not a lot of maths involved (I loved them...), but they would be unnecessary here : the goal of the book is really to give perspective, and maths would be too specific to be any useful.

Kindle version is photos of pages. They are cutoff, and continue onto the next photo. The photos are all blurry and rotated at 90 degrees. Absolutely unreadable.
